The birth of your child is an important moment in life and deserves to be captured on film. I have been on both sides of a camera during a birth and with years of experience as a professional photographer, I can assure your birth experience will be documented with tasteful, photojournalistic black and white photos. I will capture all of the details – the laughter, the tears, and most importantly, you and your baby seeing each other for the very first time, all the while remaining unobtrusive. I will show the utmost respect not only to the birthing mother and newborn, but to family, friends, and the birthing staff.
Within a few days before and after your due date I will be on-call around the clock. Once active labor begins (we’ll discuss more details of this at our consultation) I will come to you and photograph labor, birth, and baby’s first moments. A slideshow of the edited images set to music will post on the Tender Portraits blog within a few days following your baby’s birth day. The edited images will then be given to you on disk with a print release.
